SAVE THE DATE for International Cochlear Implant Day 2022!

JLCIF Founder and Executive Director will be interviewing a series of inspiring people during this week-long celebration!

* 100% of the proceeds go towards helping uninsured and underinsured cochlear implant recipients in the U.S. with their ongoing external sound processor equipment costs so that they can remain part of the hearing world. A person’s ability to hear shouldn’t depend on their ability to pay.

SAVE THE DATE for what will be the most festive and inspiring holiday event of the season!😊

The  Joyful Life Cochlear Implant Fund was founded during the pandemic to ensure cochlear implant recipients didn’t go without sound.

Many people don’t know that CI’s require regular upkeep of the external part. Similar to a smartphone, the sound processor needs to repaired, replaced, and upgraded throughout the course of our lives.

A simple $250 can stand between someone having hearing or not.

We have a wonderful program lined up! Board member, Michael Noble, will serve as our emcee with musical talent, Madison Merry, entertaining us with holiday songs.

Our guest speaker, Jodi Michelle Cutler, is a powerhouse who will no doubt inspire you and remind you that anything is possible, no matter how long it takes.

Jodi is the mom of a cochlear implant recipient as well as an author whose book, which she co-wrote with her father 15 years ago, is currently being made into a movie called Rally Caps.

JLCIF will be hosting our first fundraiser event, featuring our very special guest speaker, Jim Patrick.
Jim was a member of the original Cochlear Implant Research Team (1975 – 1981) at the University of Melbourne, Australia, which invented the world’s first multichannel cochlear implant.
Jim went on to dedicate his entire career to furthering advances in cochlear implant technology, bringing improved hearing to hundreds of thousands of adults & children around the world.
Jim will be joining us live from Sydney, Australia where he will share how they were able to accomplish such a seemingly impossible feat.

There will also be time for attendees to ask Jim questions.

John Garland will be our MC and musical guest.🎤
